Matthew Deeley

I’m Matthew Deeley, a UK-based director and producer drawn to stories that explore the complexities of human emotion and the quiet power of visual storytelling. My work blends cinematic precision with emotional honesty, often grounded in the spaces between reality and reflection.

I’ve directed a range of narrative and music projects, including Temptation, Ena – Window, Night Swimming – Submarine, and Safe Moves. As a producer, I’ve also worked on pieces such as RUBII – Twin Flame and I Prefer You Flawed, collaborating closely with artists and filmmakers to bring their visions to life.

Whether I’m behind the camera or leading a team, my goal is always the same: to create stories that linger. I’m fascinated by atmosphere, rhythm, and the unspoken moments that define us. My process leans on intuition as much as craft, seeking truth in every frame and connection in every story.

I’m currently developing new short films while expanding my directing practice into concept-driven visual work that bridges narrative and commercial storytelling.
